BRT tragedy in Xiamen

Recently, a tragedy happened in China. During the rush hour, a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) which has over 100 passengers on exploded in Xiamen. 48 people lost their lives in this tragedy. Over 30 people were seriously injured in this explosion. How could this happen?

It turns out this tragedy is because of a man named Shuizong Chen. He set fire on the BRT he was on intentionally. He was so angry and disappointed about the society, so he decided to revenge. Many people felt sad about his life story that he was poor in his whole life and always struggling to survive. However, does he deserve people's sympathy?

In my opinion, no matter what kind of reasons that push people to commit a crime, a criminal is criminal. He deserves no sympathy, even though he also died in this tragedy. Why should ordinary people pay for his anger and despair? What did they do to end up with burning to death?

There are 8 students also died in this tragedy who just finished their first day in the National Matriculation Test. In the year 2013, there are over 900 millions candidates for this test. They all spent a lot of efforts to try to achieve a high score in this National test and get into a good university. The competition among National Matriculation Test candidates is unbelievably intense. Those 8 young people were just about to begin their new life after 18 or 19 years hard work. However, they just died in the most cruelest way for nothing. Can frustration and depress be the reason to ruin other people's lives?

On the other hand, this tragedy warns every government in every major city which are operating the BRT. They should put more efforts in strengthen security supervision and management. To do so, I hope there will be no more tragedy like this happen in the future.
